Eckerd College Athletics

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Eckerd College will play host to the annual alumni men’s and women’s soccer games this Saturday at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectfully, at the Turley Athletic Complex.

Former Triton soccer players will get a chance to lace up their cleats one more time, and face the current men’s and women’s soccer squads. Following the games, student-athletes and new head coaches Steve Magee and Danielle Fotopoulos will participate in a Meet-and-Greet session.

“It is a great opportunity for the alumni to meet the present team and the new coaches,” Magee said. “It’s a chance to rekindle those relationships with Eckerd people, and really help begin a new era for Eckerd soccer.”

Admission to both games is free.

Both teams will kick off the 2010 regular season on Sept. 3. The Triton men's team will play at Georgia Southwestern, with the women's squad traveling to Montevallo.
