Women’s Golf Sitting in 13th After First Round of Saint Leo Invitational

Saint Leo Invitational First-Round Results

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Eckerd College women's golf team carded a cumulative score of 374 to wrap up first-round competition at the Saint Leo invitational held at the Lake Govita Country Club on Monday.

The Tritons are currently in 13th in the 16-team field as host Saint Leo (302) is leading by one shot over Florida Southern College (303). Meghan Moore from the University of North Carolina-Pembroke posted red figures with a 1-under-par 71 to pace all individuals.

Georgia Gordon leads the Tritons on the scorecard with a first-round total of 84. She is currently tied for 50th.

The Eckerd scoring was rounded out by Christina Brewster (93), Jenee Vanderstine (97), Mara Shingleton (100) and Whitney Edwards (124).

Second-round play resumes tomorrow morning.
