Originally a native of St. Petersburg, Reali began coaching at Eckerd college in July of 2012.

In 2013-14, Reali and his staff had four student-athletes honored to the ICSA All-Academic Teams. Solvig Sayre was selected to the All-Academic Second Team while Erik Brydges, Melany Johnson and Ann Williamson were selcted to the All-Conference All-Academic team.
On the coaching side, Reali was previously the U.S. Optimist National Team Coach for a six-year span. He also coached the Chesapeake Optimist Team and manned the Green Fleet at the St. Petersburg Sailing Center prior.
Reali has served in the U.S. Navy as an officer on the USS Carl Vinson in San Diego, Calif., and the USS Chung-Hoon in Honolulu, Hawai’i, specializing in nuclear propulsion.
In terms of competition, Reali was the winner of the 2000 Sears Trophy at the Junior Triple-Handed National Championships in 2000.
He is an avid sailing competitor in the snipe class and won the District 4 Championships in St. Petersburg in 2013.
During his prep career, Reali qualified for high school nationals four consecutive years (1997-2001).
Reali completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida while enjoying a successful sailing career with the Bulls. He was a two-time Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) All-American, a three-year team captain and ICSA Academic All-American.
Reali graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from USF in Mechanical Engineering.
Reali resides in St. Petersburg with his wife, Ashley. Together, they have a daughter, Clara Marie, born in October of 2013.
