About the Tournament
The tournament celebrates the life and passion for golf of Matt McDermott, a 1989 Eckerd College alumnus who tragically passed away on September 11, 2001, in the World Trade Center. The tournament is a four-player scramble and open to Eckerd alumni and other golfers. Proceeds benefit the Matthew T. McDermott Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support for outstanding Eckerd College student golfers.

The amount of a contribution to Eckerd College that is deductible for federal income tax purposes is limited to the amount that exceeds the fair market value of goods or services provided by the College in return for the contribution. Refund Policy
Registrations canceled on or before November 8, 2024 will be issued a full refund. Please contact Director of Athletics Tom Ryan at ryantj@eckerd.edu or Associate Director of Athletics Billy Evers at everswj@eckerd.edu if you wish to cancel your registration. There is no refund after November 8, 2025 and no refund if you fail to show and do not cancel your registration.
