Georgia Gordon led the Eckerd Triton women's golf team with a 23rd-place finish out of 42 golfers at the rain-shortened Barry Buccaneer Invitational on Tuesday.
Due to heavy rains waterlogging the par-72, 6,254-yard Shula's Golf Course on Monday, the tournament was shortened to just 36 holes.
Gordon carded a two-round 166, two strokes ahead of teammate
Nicole Lasasso, leading Eckerd to a seventh-place finish.
Leah Colombo fired a 36-hole 171 while
Jessica Potter posted a 179.
Eckerd will return to the links on April 19 as it competes in the Sunshine State Conference Championships, hosted by Nova Southeastern University, at the Grande Oaks Golf Course in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
