SAINT LEO, Fla. - After Minervino Labrador hit a solo homerun to leadoff the top of the second inning, giving the Eckerd Tritons (10-6) a 1-0 lead, the Saint Leo Lions (10-11) scored 14 unanswered runs, en route to defeating the Tritons, 15-3, on Tuesday evening at Saint Leo's Southard Stadium.
The Tritons scored two runs in the top of the ninth, one of which came on an RBI double by
Matt Heller, to account for the final score.
Joe Clagg, in his collegiate debut, took the loss for the Tritons while Cody Johnson earned the win for the Lions after throwing six runs and allowing just one run.
Eckerd will return to action on Thursday, March 11 as it hosts Saint Ambrose at 7pm
