Eckerd Baseball Receives Umpire Sportsmanship Award

The Florida Collegiate Umpires Associated has selected the Eckerd College baseball as their 2010 Umpire Sportsmanship Award winner for the Sunshine State Conference.

The award is issued to the team that the umpires feel that best demonstrates sportsmanship in each conference that they serve.  They also consider the behavior of the players, coaches, fans, and the game management personnel.

Other teams in the state of Florida that received this award were Lake Sumter Community College, Pasco-Hernando Community College, Warner University, and Indian River State College.
