Taylor Young capped off a memorable two-game span in league play.
Young joins teammates
Linsey Niles (Dec. 12) and
Kati Rausberg (Dec. 5) as previous recipients of the weekly SSC honor.
Young (Galesburg, Ill.) averaged 20.0 points per game while shooting 83 percent from the field and 71 percent from three-point range in a 1-1 week for the Tritons.
In just one half of play against Saint Leo University, Young notched 24 points on 9-for-10 shooting in a 79-56 victory. She also had three rebounds and two assists in the win.
She then tallied 16 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals in a 65-53 loss at Barry University. Young still had a hot hand in that game, going 6-for-8 from the floor.
In two outings, she averaged 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per contest. She committed just one turnover in 60 minutes of action.
