ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - A growing yearly tradition returns to the picturesque Eckerd College campus this weekend with the second edition of the Triton Trot 5K taking place on Sunday, April 1, at 6:15 p.m. at the GO Pavilion.
A one-mile fun run just for kids accompanied by Eckerd student-athletes will precede the main event at 5:30 p.m.
Registration is officially open from 4-6 p.m.
For a standard registration fee of $20, you will be entitled to a A4 Dri-Fit t-shirt, grilled food, beverages, music and a great post-race party. To register online, please click on or copy the following URL into your browser (

Participants will be able to enjoy the scenic USATF-certified course featuring a combination of road, cut grass and trail.
All proceeds from the race will benefit the Tritons' student-athletes through increased athletic scholarships and improved operations. The post-race party will begin approximately around 6:45 p.m. followed by the awards ceremony at 7:15 p.m.
Eckerd students can register for a 50% discount ($10 total) outside of the cafeteria on Thursday from noon - 1:30 p.m.
