ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - With a large senior class set to leave the program in a few weeks, Eckerd volleyball coach
Michelle Piantadosi-Lima needed to bring in a talented signing class to replace them.
With four National Letters of Intent received during the early signing period, that goal is well on its way to being achieved. Â All four signees are accomplished high school and club players who will have the chance to make an impact on the Eckerd volleyball program in the years ahead.
ASYA HARRIS (5-8 | OH | Kansas City, Mo.)

Harris comes to Eckerd from Grain Valley High School in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a first-team all-conference, all-district and all-region selection while also earning academic all-district honors.  During her senior season, she averaged 3.07 kills per set while hitting .257 from the outside.  She is the daughter of Fredrick Harris and Regina Galichia.
"Asya is a high-flying, physical outside hitter. She plays very high above the net and has the physicality to hit anywhere she wants on the court," Piantadosi-Lima said. "She has the range and power that is needed to be an effective pin hitter in our conference. I was most impressed with how competitive she is and how she played with a chip on her shoulder. It is going to be fun to coach an athlete of this caliber."
LAUREN KADILIS (5-8 | Setter | Spring Branch, Texas)

Kadilis, a setter, prepped at Smithson Valley High School in Spring Branch, Texas. Â A triple-threat player in her senior season, Kadilis recorded 639 assists, 317 digs and 135 kills while also serving 41 aces. Â She played club ball for Alamo 17 Elite. Â Lauren is the daughter of Allen and Lynn Kadilis.
"Lauren is a very skilled setter that can do it all," Piantadosi-Lima said. "She has a very high volleyball IQ and runs an efficient offense. She runs a very fast tempo that will be hard to defend. What stood out about her the most is how much fire she plays with on the court. She is the kid that you can't stop watching."
REBEKAH MACHOVEC (6-0 | Libero | Dacula, Georgia)

Although she played mostly as an outside hitter in high school, Machovec will transition into a back-row role at Eckerd. Â Machovec prepped at Mill Creek High School where she recorded 350 kills and 181 digs as a senior. Â She is a four-time all-area selection, a three-time All-Gwinnett First Team honoree and was named to the "Super Six" by Gwinnett Prep Sports. Â Rebekah is the daughter of David and Jill Machovec.
"Rebekah is making a big transition from being a very effective outside to a libero but after watching her and getting to know her, this is a position where we will see her reach another level," said Piantadosi-Lima. "I have always been really impressed with her passing, and defensively she is willing to get in there and find a way to make the play. She plays fearlessly and thrives when the game is tight."
RACHEL WISIAN (6-2 | MB | Georgetown, Texas)

Wisian played at East View High School where she recently completed a stellar career. Â Wisian was a three-time all-district selection and twice earned defensive MVP honors. Â As a junior, she posted 270 kills, 87 total blocks and 23 aces. Â Rachel is the daughter of Danny and Kathy Wisian.
"Rachel will be a big, physical presence on the court," Piantadosi-Lima said. "She is a dynamic and athletic player that can do it all. She caught our eye right away because of how high above the net she plays and because she is a powerful attacker off one and two feet. I believe with her experience she will make an immediate impact."
