MELBOURNE, Fla. - Following a shutout over Embry-Riddle to start SSC play,
Aidan Leak has been selected as the Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Leak, who earns his second weekly award of the year, receives the honor after posting five saves while facing eight total shots.
The shutout was his third of the season, also posting clean sheets against Delta State (Miss.) and Alabama in Huntsville.
Leak lowered his goals-against average to 0.80, which ranks third in the SSC, while his 21 saves rank second.
Eckerd (2-1-2; 1-0 SSC) returns to action on Wednesday at Florida Southern for a 7:00 PM kickoff.
